Mission Statement
The Antique Phonograph Society is dedicated to preserving, documenting, and sharing the history of mechanical sound reproduction — from Edison's earliest tinfoil cylinders through the golden age of the disc phonograph.
We bring together collectors, historians, and enthusiasts to maintain a research library of catalogs, technical documents, and periodicals; publish a quarterly journal; and host events where members can share knowledge and machines alike.
Membership supports the ongoing digitization and preservation of this archive, ensuring that the history of recorded sound remains accessible for future generations of collectors and researchers.
